Repairs at the Wash

Repairs at the Wash

We recently serviced a client doing some parking lot repair in Wheat Ridge. The owner of a car wash called us in to ask about our repair services. He told us that he was very careful to make sure the lot was sealcoated at least once a year. This made a lot of sense to us, simply because of the effect a car wash operation would have on asphalt. The detergent chemicals, auto traffic, and (most importantly) moisture and excess water would all be responsible for increasing the general day-to-day wear and tear that occurs on the asphalt. We let him know that we would send a team over to his place to check out what needed to be done.

Asphalt Maintenance Requested

We arrived at the customer’s location and gave the entire asphalt surface a thorough once-over. It was clear that in some places the asphalt had been sealed, but the sealant was wearing away quickly. We let him know that about a day’s worth of crack sealing and applying sealcoating would protect the parking lot paving from any further damage for a while. He was relieved that he wouldn’t have to be dealing with headaches in the future, and seemed to really want to avoid ever having to call another paving contractor team to do asphalt repairs. National Pavement Partners, LLC did some asphalt repair in Wheat Ridge

He scheduled us for a Tuesday morning, which he mentioned was their slowest day. We were happy to be able to serve a client during the week, and arrived on time the following week. The first thing we did was clear the asphalt surface of any debris or refuse. Preparing the site (and your team) properly is one of the best things we do that helps ensure each project is successful. After we had completed this part of the job, it was time to find each crack and apply a sealing material to close it up. This was one of the most important parts of the job, and our crew made sure to take great care in closing every crack we could find.

The reason the parking lot crack sealing was so important was because of the fact that we were working at a car wash. There would be no shortage of liquid chemicals and water coming into contact with this asphalt. When water gets into the open cracks of asphalt, it can harm it from the inside when the water freezes and expands. Once the owner of the business saw the thorough job we were doing, he was very relieved and satisfied. At the end of the day, he told us that we had done a great job.
